Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program for Hancock, Hardin, Wyandot & Putnam County Residents
This program runs from November 1 - March 31 each year.

- Is your Gas or Electric Service Off?
- Are you Low or Out of Propane, Fuel Oil or Wood?
You may qualify for Emergency HEAP Assistance
To qualify, you must meet the following guidelines:
200% Federal Income Poverty Guidelines
Household Size Annual Gross Income 12 Months
1 Up to $21,780
2 Up to $29,420
3 Up to $37,060
4 Up to $44,700
5 Up to $52,340
6 Up to $59,980
7 Up to $67,620
8 Up to $75,260
Households with more than 7 Members, add $7,640 to annual income for each additional household member.

Winter HEAP Crisis Program (Nov. 1, '11 - March 31, '12)
Please bring the following information to your Emergency HEAP Appointment:
* Current Gas and Electric Bill
* Proof of Income for your household for the last 90 days
* Social Security Numbers for each Household Member
* Birthdates for each Household Member
* Proof of citizenship for each household member
* Proof of disability, if disabled
Summer HEAP Crisis Program (SCP)
July 1st - August 31st
This program is targeted to assist the elderly or individuals who have a medical need.
Please bring the following with you to your Summer HEAP Appointment:
*Current gas and electricity bill
*Documentation from a physician stating someone in the household would benefit from an air conditioner
*Proof of Income/Disability for your household for the last 90 days
*Social Security numbers for each household member
*Proof of Citizenship (birth certificates for all household members)

Homelessness
Prevention
& Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) (CURRENTLY OUT OF FUNDS)
Assistance may
be
available to individuals or families that are homeless or at-risk of
becoming homeless in Hancock, Hardin, Wyandot, and Putnam Counties.
Assistance can be provided for rent, deposits, and related costs
associated with being temporarily homeless. Household income
must be below 50% of AMI. Program participants are required to
engage in
ongoing case management and to certify income and other required
information.
