HHWP Community Action Commission, a local non-profit, seeks a full-time Floating Assistant Teacher within our Head Start Preschool program at our Findlay location.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining a comprehensive education program at the classroom level in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards, Ohio Day Care Licensing, and Agency policies and procedures.
The wage scale for the Assistant Teacher position is $15.24-18.74/hour and is determined by education and experience.

Minimum Requirements and Application Process
Overall Requirement: Must be sensitive to the needs of low-income individuals and able to work with individuals of all cultural backgrounds and ages. Must adhere to the values of the HHWP CAC including Advocacy, Professionalism, and Partnership. Must be committed to the Agency’s mission to reduce the conditions of poverty by providing comprehensive services to improve lives.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED with the ability to gain the CDA Credential within two years of hire.
Minimum Experience: One year working within a preschool environment is preferred.
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, maintain state minimum amount of automobile liability insurance, and meet and maintain all funding source requirements. Must be able to lift 75 pounds occasionally.
