HHWP Community Action Commission, a local non-profit, is looking for full-time Lead Teachers for our Infant and Toddler Classrooms within our Early Head Start Child Development program in FIndlay.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining a comprehensive education program at the classroom level following Head Start Performance Standards, Ohio Day Care Licensing, and Agency policies and procedures.  Lead Teachers work 40 hours per week and start at $15.60/hour or $19.18/hour depending on an individual’s education.

Minimum Requirements and Application Process

Overall RequirementMust be sensitive to the needs of low-income individuals and able to work with individuals of all cultural backgrounds and ages. Must adhere to the values of the HHWP CAC, including Advocacy, Professionalism, and Partnership. Must be committed to the Agency’s mission to reduce the conditions of poverty by providing comprehensive services to improve lives.        

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. An Associate Degree from an accredited university in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Minimum Experience: One year of working within a daycare environment is preferred.

Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, maintain the state minimum amount of automobile liability insurance, and meet and maintain all funding source requirements. Must be able to lift 75 pounds occasionally.
